Rolando B. Rodriguez is Chief Executive Officer of Rave Cinemas, currently the fifth largest domestic theater exhibition circuit. Mr. Rodriguez came to Rave from Wal-Mart, the world’s largest retailer, where he served as a Vice President and General Manager of several multi-state regions, based in multiple locations. Prior to that he had a long and distinguished career at AMC Theaters, the world’s second largest exhibitor. He literally rose from a teenage ticket-taker to the Executive Vice President for all North American Operations . In the process, he also served in multiple management capacities including Regional Operations Director, and the Senior Vice President of Food and Beverage.

He is an honors graduate of Eckerd College and received an MBA from the Fellows Program at Rockhurst University. Mr. Rodriguez has been very active in civic organizations including the Chamber of Commerce, Special Olympics, and multiple Film Festival Boards. Mr. Rodriguez also serves on the Executive Board for NATO, and the Board of Directors for Rave Cinemas. His interests include Hiking, Jogging, Collegiate and Professional Football and Movies.

Supporting him in his career and life is his wife Maria and four daughters, ages 19 through 25.

Rave Cinemas and theater exhibition represent a joyous return to Mr. Rodriguez’s “roots” in a dynamic industry that he loves.

Mr. Nelson joined Rave at inception in 2000. He was EVP-CFO of magazine publisher, American Media, Inc., from 1997 to 1999 and VP Controller from 1989 to 1996 where he helped to modernize their financial reporting systems and worked on the company’s initial public offering. From 1980 to 1989 he worked for Arthur Andersen LLP in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. Mr. Nelson graduated with a B.S. degree in Accounting from Florida State and is also a CPA.
